Yes dreams! We’re still dreaming right now. We’ve fallen into a deep sleep one that I don’t we’ll ever wake from. Why? Because we sat through the iPhone 5 reveal…and it was so mind numbingly boring that we post to good that we’re asleep because if we aren’t sleep we must be dead!
Dead tired more like it.
Tired of the same crap year in, year out. The iPhone 5 is not a revolution and it’s certainly not going to “change everything…again”. We’ve seen this before and we weren’t all the surprise the first time around.
The iPhone now is a case. A case for the same boring iOS that we saw years ago. Sure Siri pop up to show us how to change diary days and find out where our brothers are. But only if you live in the US! Anywhere else and your on your own brother.

So what does the iPhone 5 bring? Bigger screen at 4 inches – still smaller than my Samsung Galaxy S3. A6 chip that’s faster – yeah so was the last “A” chip and the best one will be too! Updated camera – every years with the camera…have you seen what Nokia are doing with camera’s on phone? Try to keep up ok! Lastly 8 pin connector, an update? Nope! No its purely due to profits! Yes shock horror! You see Apple has now had 5 years of iPhone and X amount of years of ipods all of which had 30 pin connectors. Along with all those years, we’ve had X amount of companies creating their own 30 pin connectors and accessories. Finally Apple have had enough, the new 8 pin connector is the answer and the $39 adapter for all your current 30 pin connector is too apparently.

I know your right I’m being awfully negative but you know what I don’t wanna be. At present I’m Android through and through but I own an iPod and a Mac. When I owned an iPhone I loved it. It changed what a phone was for me. But after the third iteration of the same thing, same phone, same iOS it felt like I was paying money for a new case rather than a new phone.

So how does this dream end? With us waking up in a cold sweat? With hoping that they didn’t just redesign the iPod mini into some sport mp3 player aimed at the under 5? Or with the eternal hope that iOS changes sooner rather than later. Active tiles or widgets are added, and for once just once those geniuses at Apple will see what people are using on Cydia and start implementing it into iOS.
Thanks for reading.
Peace.
